I'd be measuring intake temps before thinking of upgrading.

What sort of boost levels are you running?

why would you measure intake temps?

have a turbosmart boost controller running at 6psi normal running and 15 on high boost thats on the standard management and turbo.

You will be fine with what you have at those levels I guess.

You measure temps after the cooler to give an indication of its efficiency.

i.e. If there too high above 40C on a hard run then its likely your cooler is too small.

As Stu has said, you need an intercooler that keeps your intake temps low. However the bigger the jntercooler, the more potential for turbo lag as it pressurises, so it would be detrimental to performance. You need to minimise the volume between turbo and intake, whilst getting the temp as low as possible.

the intercooler is rated up to 300 hp but it is a fleabay universal ive kept the pipework to a minimum to reduce lag and have fabricated a water sprayer using the rear wash tank and washer jets mounted in the bumper so on a hot day you can spray it with cold water was just thinking bigger if i go with new managment and bigger turbo.
