Auto Box

The auto CTi passed its mot a few weeks back, but since then its been stuck on my drive way as it wont engage in any gears. I no nothing about these auto boxes so could someone shed some light on the problem. Basically it shifts into the gears but wont engage, its in neutral in all the gears, but park mode actually still works. WHat do you think is wrong with the box ?

Sound's like a replacement is needed, Very common problem with these and seems to happen from around 60,000 miles. No user serviceable parts inside as it's lots of little valves inside from what I can see in the Diag's of them

sounds like a rod has come off that connects the lever to the box[if it works the same as a manual]

if you have proplems with a auto box its allways a good idea to change the oil as this can solve a lot of proplems.

thats not good news

might be an idea to convert to manual and make full use of the gti engine unless i can locate a new box
