What Is The Difference Between 205Gti & Non-Gti Racks?

Recommended Posts

I've been looking at Ebay France and one or two sellers offer new steering racks but all say except GTI.

Can anyone please tell me what the difference is. We are talking non PAS. Link

Thank you

The only difference maybe the amount of turns lock to lock, fitment will be the same as all the subframes are the same across the range

Parts beneath the pinion - It's the rack piston/spring/washers assembly ... the GTI parts (piston/spring/washers) are stronger/thicker than the base model ones ..

But you can fit them from GTI rack to base model rack , so you can make a base model rack a GTI rack by transferring these components from GTI rack ..
