Seats Interchangeable?

As topic, can you use a 1.9 half leather passenger seat as a drivers seat? are they interchangeable? car is locked away and I can't remember if its the seat mount that has the controls or whether

they are in the seat.

 

Its probably fairly obvious but I have a shoddy drivers seat that I want to get rid of.

Yes you can - well, mostly.

 

You'll need to swap the subframe over obviously, and it all fits fine other than the close proximity of the backrest adjuster knob and the lever to tilt the seat forwards, and that you can't refit the plastic trim on the lower side of the seat.

YES! Seat recliing control will be on wrong side and you will prob have to bend the lifting mech lever out slightly. and make a hole for it in the plastic side trim (or chuck it away0. Other than that, just swap subframes

Yer they are, recliner wheel will be on the wrong side though.

That's a passenger seat in place of the tired original drivers seat

 

(moved it to the correct section too)

It is very easy to swap the covers over which will mean that everything is on the correct side. Worth doing if you have the time

Agree the above - I swapped the covers over so that the Drivers seat is now mint - replaced both bolsters at the same time too.

 

Takes about a day to do both properly ( I fitted heated seat elements too).
