Mi16 New Build Nightmare

Recommended Posts

Hope you can help guys , clutching at straws now

Fitted a 1.9 Mi to my 205 with a fresh loom from prd motorsport

Fired up straight away on 2 cylinders ( 2 and 3 ) although 1 and 4 appear to still make a differance when you pull the injector plugs but not as much as 2 and 3

tried to give it some throtttle sounds like a tractor , big misfires wont really take revs

Changed plugsand leads , rotor and cap , crank sensor ignition module , cheched the timing twice (pretty sure i have it right)

Took the box out to check pick up ring was ok

Basicaly its like the ignition is advanced ? could it be the wrong ecu ?

Had a look through older posts but couldnt see anything

luggy

Check you've got the leads connected to the dizzy in the correct order

Whip the plugs out, clean them if need be.

Disable the fueling and ignition( remove both relays) then turn her over for about 5 seconds. Had the same issue on my conversion, leaky injectors.

Put the plugs in but leave the fueling disabled, turn her over for 10 seconds.

Re-enable the fueling hopefully she'll start.

Good luck! smile.gif
