Do Bonnet Release Cables Differ Depending On Phases?

There's a bonnet release cable for sale on here at the moment but looks different to the one fitted to my car.

 

Mines straight, frayed and attaches to the latch by tightening a screw onto it.

 

The cable for sale isn't straight has a black coated end and I'm unsure how it attaches.

 

Has my plastic end snapped off or is it just an earlier version?

There's two different cables - one has a hook sort of arrangement on the end, and the other is screwed/clamped to the latch

Sorry to hijack, but does anyone know of any other pug / cit model that has the hook type, fits the 205 release handle but longer in length?
