Which generation and which model/spec? Just saying "Corsa" is far too vague, as whilst many of the cars wearing the badge are at best white goods and devoid of involvement or enjoyment (just about the entire Corsa B range for example!), some of the newer stuff is meant to be quite good by all accounts - the current Corsa VXR gets a fairly favourable write-up in this weeks Autocar "Britain's Best Drivers Car 2011" article for example.

Its a Vauxhall, enough said.

I had a corsa w reg which reminded me of the old fiestas, ie mk3/4 on its driving but the whole car was just a lot more crap and cheap. Almost every young boy racer seems to have one

Driven the first VXR model of the Corsa at Thruxton. Handling was very good, as was the power, but ultimately its too 'chavy' and modern for me.

Never really been a fan of any corsa although at this years Cholmondley Pagaent of Power in the club enclosure where we had a stand there was a very nice looking matt black VXR with some red detailing.

If you flick through the CPOP pictures you may find it

My parents have had a base spec Corsa B for a few years now, and I've driven it a handful of times.

I'm judging it from the point of view of being basic transportation, not from the snobbish point of view of somebody judging it against more exotic/sportier vehicles............and it's pretty s*ite!

My folks have never had decent cars, and this is probably one of the smartest cars they've ever had (or was when it was bought). But I find it detestable. Before that my dad had an A reg Nissan Cherry 1.3 that he bought for about £400 way back in the mid nineties and kept it going until it just got too much welding it up for the MOT every year, and I thought that it was a fantastic car (for what it was) and just makes the Corsa all the more shameful. The Cherry was a joy to drive, in terms of basic bimbling about. The Corsa is just heavy, clunky, and crap in comparison.

it all depends on what you want a car for

my mrs has a corsa b on a w plate had it since it was 2 years old its a 1200 sxi its now done 90000 miles and has cost very little in parts and has been 100 per cent reliable.

it uses no oil or water between services and its got no cam belt [camchain]

body work is good and when you need parts they are cheap and easy to get hold off

i dont have a 0 -60 time as the car is not used for this and it might not go round bends at 80 mph

but it starts, stops and the mrs is happy with it and i dont worry about it letting her down

me i dont like but its not my car

My corsa is a c*nt. i say this whole heartedly because ...

it cost me 2.2k

ive spent 700+ on it wear and tear.

mine is 2003 1.2 sxi petrol, wont bore you with simple obvious facts, but unless its had lots spent on it keep away :)

on the plus side its fine now and always gives 45 mpg and recently blackpool and back gave 50+...
