I'd stick it on the steering wheel, that way you can do the comedy face-down horn blaring death scenario when you eventually mash yourself into a tree. :P

EXCITING UPDATE! - LIE! - urgghhh almost there, going to string up the wires to the plug tonight I hope, might be able to do a chassis check at the weekend, don't think I'll be able to do a check on the CAN systems until I get an MBE can-usb interface, but ill give it a go with the various CAN calibration hardware that I have from work.

Did quite well, especially for the first time out. Yep JRE engine on a drenth sequential. Due a rebuild on the motor, and needing a trip to track n road in my opinion. Seems like an engine dyno map. Lovely engine though, perfect for a rally car as it just sounds and feels so reliable. No problems all day other than a bit of fuel starvation, no swirl pot!

Now time to get this bloody peugeot done!

I can see it's not a recent one, so not one mapped by me. Got a feeling it might be from one of the Jersey guys though? If he wants it to be true JRE, only one place to go!

Yep he has been talking to john since buying the car, I think john has a log of all of his engines so knew full history and last rebuild etc, it will be going to JRE directly, bit stupid not to huh! he is quite reasonable with rebuild costs too.

Picked it up from the isle of wight.

haha that wasn't a comment about mapping quality! just an engine dyno map is never as good as a transient map for driveability :)

Absolutely, which is why we always see them in the car if it's possible; sadly not always possible because they do go far and wide.

Ok, switch box v.1.0 is done... ill try and test it this week, with any luck it will work. Took a fair amount of wire in the end, would have weighed a tonne if i hadnt got 100m of 16.5A raychem wire spare!
