Out of interent what was the most successful group B car? Was it the T16 or the Quattro?

 

I do think the Audi sounds better

i think the quattro was for 1 year which was the final year but other then that the 205 dominated for a few years prior to that iirc

Loved every min . I think Audi was dominating most of the era but near the middle 205 T16 took over by surprise.

awesome video thanks for posting it, really do love that t16 will own one, one day lol. shame at the end it says dont see many t16's out now as lack of parts and rare so tucked away.

yeah but its only the same as any old rally cars, people put tuck them away as they will only grow in wealth over the years.

the Audi had the upper hand initially as it had 4wd, but was fundamentally flawed by its engine position and particularly the amount in front of the front axle. The 205 was well designed and launched at the right time with the others catching up. The 6R4 was restricted by budget and underpowered. The Lancia S4 was very powerful but quite complex and a bit brutal. The best would have most likely been the RS200 but group B was on the way out when that was launched. I think the evidence is in the fact it dominated Rally-cross for so long afterwards.
