Replacement Throttle Cable For Twin 40 Carbs

Recommended Posts

Obey_R

The outer sheath on my carb throttle cable was at such an angle that it started to fray the cable, causing it to stick and eventually it's snapped.

Any ideas where I can get a replacement, I assume it's got to have the proper white clip to attach to the loud pedal?

I used a standard peugeot cable on my 45's. It'll be long enough for you to route it better.

Depends what linkage you're running. IIRC i still have a brand new spare twin cable setup somewhere...

It's only a single cable I need, it's just clamped by a nut on the carb end so I even thought about using a bike cable. I'll have a look at the standard cable and see if it will work.

Nice thing about std cable's is the spring part at the bulkhead, stops any snapped cables
