Removing Heater Blowers And Matrix

I understand the matrix can be remover in the drivers footwell but what about the blower unit itself as mine sounds knackered and doesnt really blow any air?

hi can the heater matrix be bybass with the coolant hoses as i only use the car in the summer n dont really need it and like shedin more weight

Yes, (for Peugeot) the heater fan motor removes pretty easily...just follow Haynes manual.

 

Regarding bypassing the heater matrix....yes, would be easy to do. It would reduce the quantity of water circulating, so you might overheat more quickly. You would also lose the option of running the heater to at least partially cool the water if your cooling fan fails to work (been there...several times!).
