205 Dashboard Transplant

Recommended Posts

ponz

Anyone transplanted dashboards from other Peugeot models into a 205? I'll get the ball rolling with this example I found of a 206 dash apparently fitting ok into a 205:

I'm wondering what other dashes would fit - maybe 106, 405, 207?

Never even contemplated it, but now you mention it, the 207 has to be about the same size doesn't it?? Perhaps.....??

Good idea though, surely it has to be a bit more solid?? Shame about the rest of the 205 (in your link) really tho, in my humble opinion...

M@tt on here started to put a 206 dash in his but stopped partway through as the heater controls got complicated etc. Hilgie has put a 106 dash in his Pugster project but not fully completed it

I've seen much worse, but overall it is not that bad. The Peugeot sport lower rear spoiler dates it and the angel eyes and rear lights will too. It looks well finished with some nice attention to detail. A nice variation on Topaz too!

yeah i saw the one on egay too and thought the dash conversion looks good be a good way of getting rid of a phase 1 dash... not too keen on the rest of the car tho sooner have the standard gti exteria, pininferina did a super job to start with why mess with perfection

Yep I agree, general consensus is that this car is hideous but 206 dash seems to be a good fit and looks nice. I never did like the 205 dash. Exterior 205 GTi styling is classic, timeless. Inside is cheap plastic.
