Should I Replace Big Ends And Mains On Gti6?

I've got my engine in bits to see why it was rattling ( blocked oil gallery to head) I've had a look at the big ends and mains, they seem in good condition. The engine has done roughly 70000 miles without any previous work by the look of it. While I've got the bottom end apart, would it be worth while me fitting new bearings just for piece of mind? Also how much are bearings these days?

If your not getting the crankshaft checked then keep with the old bearings as you never know what tolance the crank it now, If all out I'd do it all for peace of mind

I'd definately do it personally mate. Get the crank checked hopefully it will only need a polish not a regrind.
