406 90A Alternator

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

I have bought a 406 alternator to go with my MI conversion to run the electric PAS etc that i have added as part of the conversion.

I have fitted it fine my only concern is the wiring. The alternator has 2 terminals one 10mm labelled + which obviously is going back to the positive side of the wiring. There is another 6mm threaded terminal but no spade terminal.

I wondered if the 406 has the same alternator warning light set up and the warning light wire should be connected to other threaded terminal.

Thanks

You're right, the smaller terminal is for the warning light. Just cut the spade connector off the end of the wire and replace it with a ring terminal and everything will work fine.
