Any one know how to get a TD box to read the right speed in a 205 ive tried changing the the red cog its about 15 mph out 90=75 off the clock=?????

They need to match the wheels you're using - so if you're using 1.9 GTI wheels with 185/195 tyres then you'd need 1.9 GTI speedo gears.

thats what i thought im using the gears out of my old box they worked fine befor or do i need to change the one inside the box????

You need to change both.

As said you need both, To give you an idea say 16x65 = 4.06 or 14x65 =4.64 so without the matching gears you end up with the wrong reading
