Does anyone know how to get the oil pressure gauge to work on a gti6 conversion?

connect the wire to the sensor

you can either use the original sender if its there, or source one off another XU10, namely most S16's.

or buy an adapter so you can use the original 205 Sender, I think Miles stocks these.

Remember that the oil pressure gauge wire is only present on Phase 1 306 looms - later 306 and Xsara sourced looms you'll need to add a wire.

If you've got it wired in correctly, if you short the wire to the engine block (earth) then it should read full on the gauge.

Miles does an adapter ~£10 to use the 306 pressure switch on the end, and the original 205 'Mushroom' sensor coming from the side of it. As mentioned, a wire will need adding to the 306 loom to go to this 'mushroom' with a spade connector.

Yeah its a xsara loom, we wired in an extra wire and when earthed it does read full on the gauge so its definately wired in correct so must be the sensor
