All The Gear, But No Idea

hi all

 

i recentley got a set of r1 carbs in the hope of fitting them on to my 1.6 gti, with the carbs i got,

 

bogg bro manifold

facet fuel pump

a set of air fitlers

 

having looked in the engine bay its seems a bit more difficult than i first thourght, i could do with

some pointers as to which bits go where what needs to be blocked off, well to be honest how to

do the lot really and is there any more bits i need to get.

Just another question, will fitting the carbs mean i have no rev limiter? i read the thread on carb fitting on this forum and they install a aftermarket

one, or is this only on the mi16 engines?

having done a bit more reading and playing about i have answered my previous questions , but now ive got a new one. with regards to the vacuume line, i know theres one for the brake servo but could i 't' into this for the advance and retard of the ignition? and is there anywhere else the vacume has to go?

 

any help is much appreciated

hi i didnt buy the manifold seperately i got it with the carbs and pump, as a rough figure i think theyre about £180 ish but there is a long que for them
