What On Earth Is This? And Where Does It Go

hi all theres a few electrical things on my car that arent quite right, and other found this have no idea what its for and where it goes but can only hope it will make a few electrical bugs disappear. if anybody know would be a great help thanks.

i have a picture on my pc but have no idea how to post on here :wacko: ??

You should be able to put the photo from your pc onto a hosting site like photobucket then link it.

There are a few plugs that are meant to be left disconnected so the thing you have found is probably not the cause you are hoping it is.

 

What electrical problems are you having?

erm biggest problem is the reverse light, rear fog and rev counter fuse keeps blowing. the rest i think is the earth connections as sometimes things work sometimes not, like all front lights sometimes work sometimes not and when u fiddle with the earths and they magically work ;)

hi iv uploaded the pic onto photobucket, iv also cleaned all the earth connectors etc and now front lights work like a dream :rolleyes:

Looks like the crank angle sensor plug, which was only used for diagnostic purposes.

Clean up the earth blocks, theres one either side behind the headlights i think, this might help the headlights? :unsure:

fuse blowing fault could be the reverse switch on the gearbox try disconecting for a while and see if the problem goes away.

it was the reverse switch on the gearbox that caused my rev counter and my reverse lights not to work but cleaned it all and now is working great :) cheers
