306 Gti-6 Engine Rotation Direction

Morning all (please see the 'Morning' thread for full details)

 

I need to static time a 6 and want to make sure I rotate in the correct direction.

Is it clockwise as viewed from the front of the engine, ie the o/s footwell (drivers side)?

 

What size dowels/drill bits are required for the timing holes? 2 x 8mm (cam) 1 x 10mm (crank)

clockwise looking at the timing belt, 2x 6mm and one 8mm to time it up
