starting to look for some hoses however not done it before and dont know where to start with measuring them all up, is the best way to measure them, or make mock up pipes with cardboard tubing?

also any quality cheaper piping options than samco?

decide on which route you want to take you piping first. always a bad idea to rush into something like that, read through some of the project threads on here, maybe speak to a few people who have custom builds (Tom Fenton would be a good man to ask)

Try SFS Performance for the hoses - I've used them several times in the past and always had good service and value.

I'd mock up the hoses as you say. That way you can figure out the route you want them to take and see how everything will fit and look. Then you can order appropriate bends, joins etc. If you have a straight run, I'd recommend hardpipes for it. My Nissan 200sx uses silicone pipes for some bends and joining hardpipes together. Some bends are ally pipe too. Gives a great (loud!!) pigeon noise from the compressor surge too :D could have something to do with the Greddy intake though ;)

what do you mean by home made? be a little more specific and we may be able to help a bit more :)

most of the coolant hoses are already catered for by the likes of BBM, though boost pipes are always dependent on the intercooler, throttle body, turbo and the placement of aforementioned items.

yeah obviously not going to make moulds for them and make one off ones, yeah just for all the boost pipework. for turbo to intercooler and then to throttle body!

Have you tried ebay universal silicone hose kits and ally bends and straights never failed when i used them just had to get some samco stuff for the tighter bends.
