205 Gti6 Accelerator Choices

Recommended Posts

Naturally I though the 306 accelerator cable would be a good choice to use for the conversion. It seems I didn't allow for such a difference to the bulkhead hole sizes

The bottom one is the 205 cable, which I thought I could just swap over onto the 306 cable. The white clip has the cable pressed into it, and when trying to lift it out it needs to come straight out, which seems impossible without breaking one or both trying

A generic Peugeot cable from GSF/ECP sounds like the way to go. Any Peugeot's in particular that people have got a cable from that is a straight forward swap over job?

405 is bound to be long enough, but I worry I will have the same bulkhead attachment problem.

Experiences and trail and error feedback appreciated :)

I bought one of the eBay Peugeot universal ones, it's really stiff though so will need to think of something else!.

the cable kits come with a few different ends and fittings, if all else fails just use your old end fittings on the new cable.

The GSF site is rubbish

I searched for throttle, accelerator and it was returning nothing.

I found a product code on here from WP (N71202) which I used on there and it wasn't recognised.

Does anyone have an invoice with a product code that I can order?

Or even a ECP number for a universal Peugeot cable

GSF re-structured their part numbers 2 years ago, you'll need to phone them.
