Mi16 To Throttle Bodies To 1.6

ive had a search on the website and i cant seem to find the answer to my question, either no ones asked or its a stupid question

 

can throttle bodies for a MI16 engine be put on a 1.6?

 

ive searched many websites looking for kits for a 1.6 but most seem to only do MI16 ones.

 

i dont want to change the engne as im using the car for rallying and i think throttle bodies would be a good way to go.

 

any advice is welcome and thanks in advance.

you just need a different inlet manifold, and a suitable map of course

thanks for the quick reply, would it have to be a custom manifold or is there anywhere you can get them?

look for a carb manifold, though a custom one would let you get a decent tract length and angle as the off the shelf items were intended for carbs and a little compromised.

The mangotsle ones or something like that are off the shelf but a poor design and even the casting is cr*p, but it's all you can get like that now, I'd get a custom one made personally now for them
