Recommended Posts

johnnyboy666

went back to my car after doing the shopping to find some jeb-end had banged a trolley into the left tail light! smashed the lense and dented the trim bit in the bumper. not a big deal as ive got plenty of spare lenses, but they didnt even bother to stick a note on the windscreen or anything. good job the cars a bit ratty anyway, still bloody anoying!

The very reason I don't park any of my vehicles in supermarket carparks if I can help it. If I do have to (pressure from the misses), then I take up 2 parking spaces. Top tip of the day.

That ^ is very very annoying, people do it to stop getting dings. Why should any one person have 2 spaces, yet everyone else has the one. I see expensive cars do it all the time, so i either park right up to it very close, or leave the trolley right next to the back of it to get them worried the selfish gits  A few times iv left a little note, they dont park that way the next week

Its as bad as parking in a disabled spot without the badge

If anything, it draws more attention to the car that you dont really want.

then I take up 2 parking spaces.

My housemate takes great delight in parking incredibly close to people who do this, just be warned, it may backfire.

Same here, my passenger side would be within millimetres of your drivers side if you take two spaces.

I forgot to state that the 2 spaces I park in (on average twice a year I may hasten to add) are at the far end of the carpark, where 99% of people don't want to park because they are too lazy to walk any distance.

I'm sure you fellow 205 lovers wouldn't park millimetres from another 205...

If you take 2 spaces in a busy part if the car park then take what you get, but it boils my piss to see that someone has obviously gone to the bother of parking in a quiet bit of the car park and some wanker has parked right against them. If this happened to me i would call a mate to come and park up against the opposite side of them.

I just go to the supermarkets with larger car parks and park further away where it's quieter. Problem solved.mellow.gif

I tend to park miles away from the entrance. Some moron backed into my car once though, he apparently didn't see it all parked by itself

that sounds like my luck! I also find that if you park alone, far away, someone will inevatably park close to you, even if there are a hundred other spaces to choose from.

I just buy my car pre-dented for these very reasons.. No matter how much you care for your car other people dont.

I much prefer having an old car with a few dents that I dont care about, you dont have to worry where you park or hedges etc.. I've had shiny cars and it was just too stressful!

Saying that it would really pull my pisser if some broke one of the lights and didnt leave a note.

Mad.

There's still no excuse for parking on two spaces, a simple way of avoiding the dings is park like this / \ / \ which leaves more room for the doors to open or buy a cheap nasty car for the day to day stuff and have the 205 on classic insure etc.

If my car was trapped for showing some selfish ***t what they are doing then i pop open the boot

I cant believe someone would park at the other end of the car park all quiet and still use two spaces :o

Great tactic, shame i have mates aswell. Its gonna turn into a s*itload of cars parked within millimetres!l.....plus i wasn't really talking about quiet carparks where someone has parked down the far end to keep out of the way. I'm talking about the busy places where people think they are just too damn important to line it up properly.

I was at work last week and parked right out the way, as I had already had a few dents in the diesel from inconsiderate twats.

Mr pompous comes along in his land rover hse ego wagon, parks right near my pass side and puts another dent in my door.

1 hacked up greeny on the door handle later and tiny boot scuff on his door I was happy :)

I remember getting back into the car after someone had banged my door (the Mrs was sat in the car and saw them do it, then laugh and walk off) I had a fiesta that I'd bought of a mate for £10, and yes it was a bag of s*it, but that's not the point. I returned the favour and left a nice crease in the door of his beemer.

Two wrongs in this case did make a right!

It must be something to do with Morrissons customers. I parked in a Morrissons car park last week for 30 mins (into M for a couple of bits then to another shop) when I came back there was a rather large dent in the 205's door where someone obviously didn't know the size of their car. No note (ha! did I really expect one?!) or anything. No CCTv either so I can't see who did it.

Its mostly knocked out but my previously pristine white door is no longer perfect :(

It may offend some on here, but my 205 GTi is my daily and TBH, I'm not really too bothered. At least, not as infuriated as I would be if my other car was the recipient of said dent. Having said that, once I've re-built the Nissan, depending on my situation, the 205 will be in the garage as a project - 89 F reg with a mere 78k (proveable with old MoT's) and a virtually rust-free chassis! Shame to sell this one!

You're a cheb. You care about your car but have a disregard for people that do the same? I bet you park next to cars in otherwise empty car parks too don't you?

I don't see the problem in parking a way from the entrance where the car park is less busy and taking two spaces, sometimes you have to. (Big car, small spaces...) It's called being considerate to some degree, but i guess you won't understand that.

I fairly frequently park in the disabled spots, but only if there's plenty of other spaces, i'm going to be quick and then there's the fact that i don't think many disabled people shop at gone midnight... but i suppose you'd still come and key my car for that.

I can park in the parent and child spaces now I'm a Dad. Loads of room!

If there's a better reason for having a child then I don't wanna know it

Haha! I do this too! Only when he's with me though. Really irritates me when people park in parent and child spaces when they don't have kids with them.

And it's all Top Gear's fault I bet. You were a nice and considerate member of society until you saw Jeremy park his electric car in a disabled space, and now you're no better than a Paedo or a murderer! I hope you go to hell!

I am of course joking, but that's the kind of mentality that much of our small minded population has these days. Probably the same f***wits who ding people's cars.

I'm paranoid about this, always have been. Now it's worse since I got the 166 as it's a fairly hefty beast so parking in most spaces will leave you tight for room, and it's got quite curvy lines on it's flanks, which any dents (and it does have a few small ones) will ruin. I always park at the back of carparks away from other cars, which drives my wife nuts (as she's lazy). I also have specific places that I park in the work multi storey - I take one of the corner spots where I can park as far out as possible so that the car next to me (and I can only have a car on one side as I'm at the corner) should, in theory, still have plenty of space so shouldn't park too close. So far I've been OK. But whenever I come back to my car to find someone parked close to me, I always carefully inspect the doors for any marks. Woe betide the day I find one!

I find it astonishing that anyone would park next to another car at the far end of a carpark in an otherwise empty area, whether intentionally or otherwise. That's just weird. That's like those nutters that come and sit next to you on the bus when there's 10 rows of empty seats.

As for taking two spaces, generally I don't give a s*it if someone wants to do that as I can empathise with their reasons. If it's a small car park and there's bugger all spaces left then obviously it would annoy me. Personally I think that your far more of a "jeb end" (love it  ) if you're the type of person to go and park millimetres away from that person to "teach them a lesson" (yawn). Did you ever stop to consider that maybe that person didn't actually double park intentionally? Perhaps they are just s*it at parking (cos that's unusual these day's, eh? ), or perhaps they had no choice because the other cars were badly parked when they got there, and those cars then moved before you saw them taking up two spaces and decided that they were public enemy number one.

Last week i went out to a wedding do at a hotel, the car park was pretty much full and one nob end in a BMW 318ti compact parked taking up two bays.

If it wasnt for the fact it the missus was with me and it was her friends wedding i would have poured the remnants of a cold tub of chip shop gravy all over it.

Can I park in a parent and child space if I'm out shopping with mother ?

Seriously though I took great pleasure in yelling at a woman who'd parked alone in one of those spaces "Excuse me - you forgot your baby" - she looked flustered and ran off..

if i had a nice car and took up 2 spaces and someone didnt like it, parked real close to my car, i'd ram my door off their car, so be warned, it works both ways, it could back fire..

not that ive ever done it before ;)

If someone had parked in 2 spaces close to the shops then they are being an arse hole, but I don't think they deserve their car to be damaged over it. In 2 spaces away from the shops then I can't see a problem with this at all.

If someone has damaged your car then its a dog eat dog world in my eyes so give the same treatment back. I'm currently supporting 3 damaged marks on my cars that I wish the culprit had stayed around for some payback

Another one I've had was 2 Asian blokes got out a Celica when I was parked in the local police station carpark, opened his door straight into my 306 with me sat in it. Laughed at walked into the station.

Sat there in disbelief I thought f*ck that and slammed my door against his car 5 times, mate jumped back in the car and we drove off.

C*nts!
