309 Suspension On 205

i have just bought a gti subframe and some 309 shafts hubs wishbones callipers discs struts springs ect and tried to fit all of this to my cj and the shafts wont fit the box every thing else is fine. what have you done to over come this will just cutting and welding solve this problem with the two sets of shafts or ? any suggestions thanks scott

The GTI shafts are for a GTI gearbox, which is a BE box as fitted to the XU engine.

 

Your car I am assuming is a 1400, which has an MA box.

yes as i found out today the splines are too big to fit my box but if i made a split shaft system and welded it would it do with just welding

Or just fit 309 base model driveshafts and hubs?
