Fuel Tank Vent.

Recommended Posts

As title are the tank vents or valve prone to playing up? My car missfires when you fill it with fuel, I've changed the tank and pump already. Seems like it is starved for fuel after filling.

Thanks

Edd

Hmm,

seems odd.

Fuel Filter ok?

What about the fuel pressure regulator?

Other than that, I am stumped.

You could try this however. As it starts to missfire, take the fuel filler cap off and see if it continues? If so, you know its a pressure problem. . . .

You could blow through the vent also!

Havent actually touched the vent pipe work so havent tried blowing through it, that is my next step. Didnt know if anyone else had encountered probs with them.

It does not sound like a venting problem to me. If the filler cap removed makes no change, it is something more than the tank...
