What in Gods name would you want to do that for?

Half the advantage with engines like GTi-6's is that they run decent management as standard, so why would you ever want to put it on 8v management?

Fair enough if you're not competent with wiring, but there's people on here that will do a plug and play loom for reasonable money.

Edit - just seen the price.... £120 to ruin the driveability and potential of your engine?! I'm not sure what people charge to do GTi-6 loom on here, but I'd be surprised if it's much more than that... making it a complete no-brainer frankly.

FFS. They're not up to scratch on a mildly modified 8v, why the hell would you go backwards by putting one on a 16v!!

Dizzy adaptors were a bodge people used 20 years ago because they didn't know any better. There's absolutely no reason to use one these days on an Mi16, let alone a GTi-6.

Install a budgerigar to peck a switch when he thinks a spark should occur.

You'd probably get better results.

LOL, I had a Mi with the Dizzy converter in the other day and by god it was slow, It's been years since I've driven one like this but it wasn't much faster than my DZK CTi to 70 ish

The same old story continues with 'scary WIRING' is complex but as said the best thing about the 6 engine is the management to avoid worn out AFM's etc

It doesn't even make the conversion easier really, a dizzy adaptor doesn't re-angle the exhaust manifold for example.

HAHAHA. Cracked me up, has a point though, why the hell would you use stone age engine management on a gti6?

Load of s*ite dizzy adaptors waste of good metal. There's loads of diagrams if you don't want to part with the cash for a loom.
