Blank Quarter Mouldings

Recommended Posts

chipstick

I am after some blank quarter mouldings as I have a vinyl plotter and can make my own custom decals to go on them.

I have had a nosey on service box, and found part number: 8659 66

I presume this is one side, and is the smooth moudling, not with lines on?

I found the part number looking at pre 91, so presume they will be grey.

Are these generic to all 'poverty' spec 205's? I thought for some reason base models has slatted mouldings.

If they are on most other base models, I may be able to get a pair from a scrapyard rather than paying over the odds from Peugeot.

The majority of Phase 1/1.5 base models I've seen have slatted rather than smooth rear quarter badges.

The smooth badges seem to be more common on on later Phase 2 models though from what I've seen.

2nd that I have only seen them on phase 2. Also they seem to be grey. I had a 94 diesel junior I think which had smoth tailgate and quarter badges.

I think the part number I mentioned should do the job, It looked like you get the 3 parts, with the small bit for the fuel cap, but not sure what to do about the other side?

My first car (1990/91 1.0 Trio Plus) had smooth quarter badges, which were plain IIRC.

There's five badge pieces in total to do a complete car

2 x Upper badge

1 x Lower badge

1 x Lower badge with fuel cap cut out

1 x Fuel cap

Basically, they're just like the 1.6/1.9 and GTI badges, but without the text.
