Strange Sliding Sunroof

Recommended Posts

steve@cornwall

I've picked up a mini-project GTi that has a strange sliding sunroof which resembles a vacuum one but has shorter, metal sliders on either side. This roof is the biggest problem with the car - it's damaged and not fitted. Anyone come across this type before? Any imfo desperately needed!

Not picked the car up yet - hopefully later this week, I'll take some then.

Miles

There where 2 or 3 types of these in the day, A couple where dealer fit options and look hideous as they start a long way back on the roof, then the normal Windscreen companies fitted them too with anything they sold, Getting parts for them is impossible

I was afraid of something like that, it does come with a complete vac set-up from the servo hose, reservoir, assembly and trim - so may be a big job on!

Would be a shame to waste the car for this....
