Another Fuel Problem

Recommended Posts

gaz832

hey fols, having probs with the car again, last week the car gave up on me , so i changed the fuel pump and put the hoses on the correct way round , tried to start it but no fuel to engine, so i chandged the hoses aroud but still no fuel, fuel is pumping but not going to engine, could i have a blockage somewhere, only thing i havent chandged is the fuel filter could this be totally blocked and stop letting petrol though.

Disconnect the hose from the bottom of the filter. If you've got fuel pumping through there, but nothing after the filter, then that's your problem.

If you've got nothing pumping out even before the filter, trace it back further.

in the fuel lines mate. once i got petrol to the engine ,there was loads of prssure to it, actually blew the hose off the regulator. . now it wont turn over. . i recently removed a aftermarket steroe and put the origional clarion in, dont know if ive cut a wire wrong or not, as it was starting before i took it out. now it wont fire up, turns over no bother . checked the plugs just had new leads, but it was playing up lately. new rotor and coil time a think.

should petrol stay filled up in the regulator if its not starting, . just thought if the fuel rail is clogged up now.

the pressure will stay there yes

when you say it will not turn over, do you mean physically..? Has it filled the bores with fuel?

double check your fuel pressure regulator. if its not working at 3bar (from memory so dont hate on a player for wrong info) the injectors wont feed enough fuel into the engine
