5 Speed Diff On 6Speed Gearbox.

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Someone knows if the 5speed BE diff can fit on 6speed gearbox?

I emailed to Kaaz but they dont know.

I did a research on the web and i only found a Bacci Romano´s LSD, specific for the 6speed gearbox, and it cost 1300 euro........

Someone knows if Tran-X, ZF, Quaife, did plate-type diffs for this box?

Cheers, David.

As Welshpug says no reason that it wouldn't fet at all, diff housing is the same on the 6 speed, the extra gear is housed in the end.

Only thing to watch with the plat diffs like Tran-x and Gripper is they do need some of the inner casing griding away to fit properly, the quife is a strainght fit an forget, but then again is a different prospect and it does all depend on what you are using the car for.

just looked on bacci romano's site, there's no mention of a 6 speed specific diff, all their BE ones are part number DA014

Really?

I must be blind.

Switching question....do you believe its worth paying the 1100+ for a Bacci Romano? Or do you think a cheaper LSD like the Tran-X or a Kaaz do the same work?

I like Kaaz LSDs, althought they are ~170 pounds more expensive than Tran-x.

Summarizing, what do you think is the best LSD in quality/price terms?

Thanks for the replies, i´m planning a large project with a 2.0 turbo engine and I need lots of information.
