Gettting pricey these days and alot of links out there looking similar, is there any ones or ideas people know of as an alternative.

they were that a pair 2 years ago though (and times are hard ), i might make make my own with some steel bar and a rose joint

The rose joints will cost £15 for a pair of any worth having, that is before you have sorted out bolts, spacers, the bar, locknuts etc.

 

I have a lathe and all the gear I would need to make my own. I run the standard replacements as they are cheap enough for what they are.

Buy decent branded ones and they will last a long time, mine have done 15k since I put them on and still nice and tight.

You wouldn't make them for the price of a decent set. To get a decent set of rose joints that aren't made of cheese some metal bar, a left hand thread tap at £10 and a Rh one at £10 and whatever else you need probably £50 worth of stuff I reckon.

ill have to get a set from gsf, ive killed the others putting the billies on as they were so rotten i had to get the mole grips on them
