I love my little space now:-)

I have about 1000 square feet of space over two floors so room for three cars at a push downstairs and plenty of room upstairs for spares/parts/junk!

Its amazing how quick you can fill a space so beware!!!

Andy,

That is a perfect garage. I could keep my car in there and have my wifes outside whilst I built my permanent Scalextric track in the other bay!

Our house was sold to 'me' by the fact that it had off street parking for 2, incidently under cover and garage - which ironically never houses the car - Scooter lives in there normally.

The space allowed for the reshell

I've just spent a couple of months fitting a new kitchen into our house. One of the many upsides is that I recycled ome of the old 1980's style kitchen into the garage. I trimmed the units so the 205 still fits nicely.

Like you Feb, floor is painted and things are well organised - it's a nice little sanctuary.

My parent's garage on the other hand fits 4 cars in and it's under the house! I wish Iived there - 2331361550056984843S425x425Q85.jpg

I now realise that I have my priorities wrong, I need to re-wire the garage, improve the lighting, dig a pit and get all my tools sorted out - probably need to build a sleep area as well when the missus kicks me out :(

I 'electrified' the garage very early on - probably within 2 months. 6mm SWA to the garage to allow for potential welding potential! All done under the premise of "well it will make the doing up of the house a lot easier"!

My old double garage I converted half into an office, which left a small half that the 205 just fitted in with no room at all either side to work on it.

In the new one the main electrical intake to the house is in the garage and then it splits into a distribution board for the garage and a separate feed to the house, so plenty of power.

Can't wait to get the house finished so I can move into the garage :)

is it wrong when looking at a house you go to see how big the garage is first before setting foot in the house??

Not at all. It was one of the things we looked at when buying our place. That and some land for her horses.

Lovely size by the looks of it! Hope you're well Andy, was thinking a few weeks ago not seen or heard anything on here of you for a while!

I'll echo the comments about it getting filled up quickly, be careful!

I have a garage at home but it's a single, simple garage that my grandad built many years ago, is mainly used for storage though(read; a mess!) as i'm very lucky having my workshop. For those that haven't seen it; (Can't find the thread i posted a few years back!)

Yep, I'm still here, just been manic busy lately and what with buying the new house I'm now even busier - can't wait to start woring in the garage.

We are only moving because my wife wanted fire places and I need a bigger garage!

The main reason I bought my house was because it has a detached garage and very long driveway (don't tell my misses). Recently had the garage extended to a tandem/ double length. Unfortunately, I've just bought a third car and I'm only 4 inches short (no jokes please) of getting all 3 motors in the garage. Bugger. The misses has refused to let me get an extension to it!
