Where To Get A Dimma Kit?

Recommended Posts

Cameron

I need to try and get hold of a Dimma bodykit for my black 205 as it's going wide-track quite soon, but all I can seem to find is cheap crap on eBay or super expensive kits (~£1500). Does anyone know a place / person who I can get a reasonable quality kit for somewhere between the two price extremes? I'd need the arches, rear quarters and both bumpers, not fussed about the spoiler.

That's more like it! Do you know the guy or did you just stumble across it?

£400 posted would be ideal, that looks like a pretty decent quality kit too.. I like how the quarters go up to the roof line. :)

Shame I'm totally poor this week otherwise I'd snap it up right now, if it's still available in 2 weeks time then I'll be taking it.

Wont look like a real dimma tho - has rear quarter badges and 3 fins

That's not too much of an issue for me, I'm doing it purely for the wide arches rather than an authentic look. :)

That doesn't look as wide as a dimma kit either, front wings look narrower.

Hmm.. might re-think then.

Does anybody know what track width increase the Dimma kit accommodates?

If no ones posted by tomorrow I'll measure off mine may be worth asking the seller how big the top of the wings are?

If you could measure the track width that would be extremely useful!

Just in case you don't know how (you never know!) just measure from the inside edge of one tyre's tread to the outside edge of the other, which basically gives you the width from the centre of one tyre to the other. :)

I'm aiming for 1.5m track width front and rear, so need something to accommodate otherwise change my plans somewhat!

Track width on mine is 1485mm that's with using 309 bones and low offset wheels, the wheel arches stick out 385mm from the inner wing at there widest point a standard arched gti is 270mm from the same point, my wings are about 200mm from the edge of the bonnet. My wheels could easily come out another 10-15mm without sticking out the arch. Hope this helps if there's anywere else you want measured let me no.I didn't measure rear track but I'm sure mines wider at the rear.

James - thanks very much, that's perfect! :D

Sounds like my 1500mm track width should fill the Dimma arches nicely. :)
