Recommended Posts

Right she's nearly done, a few more questions. As this is my first car not to sure how to connect up the dump valve and boost controller bits, can any one do me a diagram to show what goes where, and where things connect to in respect to air filter, turbo intercooler then throttle housing

Yes it does, as for the boost controller, I've ordered a boost controller, any idea how this fits up?

No idea off hand mate. I'd recommend getting it on the road first and making sure everything works as it should before you start fitting performance extras.

Good point, but that's sensible, lol, on the second picture, you show 3 ports, 1 to turbo, is that the little pipe on the turbo? The pre turbo can I mount to air filter part, and the last one is that between turbo and inter cooler? Sorry for all the question, as I said, new to turbos

1 to turbo, is that the little pipe on the turbo?

Yes.

The pre turbo can I mount to air filter part?

Yes, or I think it's ok to vent to the atmosphere.

the last one is that between turbo and inter cooler?

No, it's between the intercooler and throttle body.

I have put mine in the positions that they were originally in. Moving them can give false readings which could result in under/over fueling.

also where to take the feed off for the boost gauge

Dunno, I've never looked into this as I'm running standard boost.

i have put the boost control pipe on the pipe that comes out the front of the throttle body as you look straight on top left if its adjustable you can only turn it up to just under a bar but you have to put a 3.5 bar fuel regulator in the rail i would be cearfull because the lambda senser only work on over fueling on these engines.
