Stripped Or Return To Standard

Recommended Posts

locosaki

My car is currently stripped, IE roll cage 2 bucket seat and harnesses no carpets etc

I've not been on track at all this year and have found I'm using it alot more on the road !

I'm thinking of removing the cage the buckets etc and sticking a standard interior back in and trying to get the car back to it's former glory, I will however be back on track with it hence my dilemma but no more than 3/4 track outings a year.

I've looked through various topics regarding roll cages etc and opinions are divided.

Tricky one, I've got mine in a similar state to yours but without a cage. Doesn't the cage make it a little tricky to get insurance and bums up the premium?

I'd say leave it especially if you also have something more sensible to drive when you're not in the mood for the pug

I'd say put it back to std and get more use from it, the other upside is it will be worth more too.

Yep do have a more sensible car but I feel I'd use the 205 more if it wasn't so drastic but at the same time that's what I bought it for.

Leave it alone then and find something else to worry about :-P Who'd want a big heavy carpet and water soaked sound deadening slowing their car down?

I did think about being worth more if it were back to standard condition. I'll have a look about and see what a second hand interior is worth.

Thats the only time mine is going back to standard interior, until then I'll cope with its roughness and get in the honda if I'm feeling delicate
