Steering Rack Position

Recommended Posts

wracing

I have an idea in my head with regards moving my steering rack directly down with the appropriate adjustment to track rod lengths there should be no effect on bump steer. From what I have modelled and my crude excel spreadsheet it shows I am correct.

I want to be confident with this and would like someone to tell me if i am been stupid or i am actually thinking correctly.

havent a clue how to work it out other than trial and error, but i remember colin satchel moved drsartys rack up not down, combined with rj track rod ends and 406 hubs though.

citroen sport did similar with the C2R2, raised rack and 307 hubs, lower bj location reversed on later cars to lower the pivot
