Mystery Leads

PUGPIRATE

I'm trying to establish the source of an electrical fault in my car and am wondering what a couple of disconnected leads are for. I'm thinking that they're probably for diagnostic purposes but it would be great to know for sure as there are no obvious connections for them.

This first lead originates from the ECU and the other end was loose in the nest of wires underneath the air hoses at the front of the car. It has two thin gauge wires - one brown and one white.

I'm not sure where the second lead (Plug 2) originates from but this was located in the same area as the first one. It has two thin gauge wires - 1 white and one earth.

Tom Fenton

The white one looks like the reverse light plug.

The red one I am not sure, but it isn't engine related, those type of plugs thank god are not on the engine loom (they are crap) If anything it is lighting.

I thik thwe wires for the revese light were grey and purple.

I think the red plug is for the TD double fan system.

The leads from the white plug definitely seem to pass through the bulkhead and into the ECU.
