Fallen Back In Love With The 205 ...

Well I never actually fell out of love, but I have just realized how much fun a 205 can be again.

I don't use my 205 much and I had found myself thinking un205 thoughts once or twice recently.

It's track focused so not much fun on the road which is all it's seen since September last year except a brief go of Prescott at Pugfest last month.

 

I took it to Snetterton last night and had an absolute blast, the new 300 circuit is really well suited to 205's now and I drove home grinning ear to ear.

So the moral of these ramblings; if you don't use your 205 much, get in it and use it, your memory of how it great it is will not touch upon how great it actually is.

 

I see MSV have am open pit lane day in early September at Snetterton ......

I agree. Especially with these nice warm evenings were having. I just went out for a drive earlier, not to go anywhere specific, but just to enjoy the 205 with the sunroof open around some nice twisty roads. These summer nights really make the 205 a joy to own. Out of all the cars i've owned, nothing makes you smile quite like the 205, and you don't even have to be going particularly fast.

I know how you feel as I just got back from a 3 week holiday and as soon as I got back and got it out the garage for a spin I remembered how great it was (even though its my daily which is easy to get bored of).

Esp after today when some blokes at a Garage where mocking it for being a dirty d and said it wouldn't even be close to his track prepped 1.6 GTI and after a quik spin up the road soon shut them up up as he could only just keep up, they where genuinely shocked which was pretty funny

I moved away from 205's for 2 years and its something ill never do again, nothing beats them and the grin you get when your pulling g's round a nice set of twistys

 

Im glad i dont use mine all the time however as the more you use them the more you find yourself driving warp speed in really inappropriate situations e.g EVERYWHERE
