Instrument Lights, What Are They?

Evening all

 

with most of the car away or about to be taken away for work i cant do. Im moving into the little bits, namely instrument cluster bulbs.

some of mine are broken and need replacing. what are they, and are there any useful improvements in terms of better spec bulbs?

weirdly i was just looking at this myself, i used a similar type to this on an old vauxhaul clicky here and they worked very well. should have a much longer life than normal bulbs too.

those LED ones work very well only thing to remember is they are polarised so need to be fitted the correct way,i put them in mine only to find some were in wrong so i had to take clocks back out again.

If you do fit them just test before putting dash back together.
