Changing 205 Gti - 309 Gti Rear Shocks >

Recommended Posts

Tonight i found a set of my old original 309 gti shocks and im thinking of using them on my 205 instead of the 205 gti shocks.

As the beam is now about to be put together, what's the rear suspension difference when using the 309 gti shocks ?

I assume they would only be stiffer than the 205 ones due to the extra weight of the 309 body like the tb etc. Im sure i read about it on here somewhere but i think that was within a thread with a different title, so not been able to find it.

I know the front struts are slightly more damped.

negligible difference if any imo, I seriosuly doubt you'd notice it.

Although I seem to remember reading a post by Miles saying the 205 GTI shocks were firmer.
