I have a Newman Road Cam PEUI/268/470 PH1 in my standard 1.9 not Kat. Along with a K&N induction kit (properly fitted with cold air intake) it required an adjustable fuel pressure regulator as I ran very lean without it.

Run a Ph4 in mine and it is an excellent cam, requires lots of mods and machining to run but works very well!

I have Newman PH2 in my XU9J4RS and it works pretty nicely, idle isn't great on standard TB though..

I also had some problems with the pulley end not being machined flat, which vibrated my cam pulley loose! They were very helpful in fixing this though.

Go for Cat Cams. Although not Newmans fault, their castings are of lower quality material. Just had a customer camshaft snap due to an inclusion in the casting.

I can recommend some nice profiles depending on your spec of car.
