Base Model Arches

Recommended Posts

has anybody atempted to slightly "pull" base model arches. I have the usual problem of rear arches rubbing on 15 inch alloys, im planning to go down to a 45 profile but also wonted to pull the arch slightly . I do not wont to fit gti arches as my car is not a gti (although will have the running gear lol) so if any body has any ideas i open to surgestions :D

I would thnk going to a 185 width is more beneficial than going to a lower profile, though I've not had a base model.

Second that 185's worked a treat for me and if you can lower the profile to your laughing as without stiffer shocks they bottom out with a full car / big bumps!

Yes i pulled the arches on a base model, no, it didn't work!! There's an inner lip that faces into the bodywork that till catches even if you can get the outers to clear. couldn't justify spending for euro-rallye arches on that car so cut the arches back and fitted GTi mouldings that I already had.- sorted
