How High Roof Do I Need For Car Ramps.

Recommended Posts

My work unit is a big old chicken farm rather than a purpose built modern industrial unit. I'm wanting to expand into exhaust fitting at work and want to know the minimum I can realistically get away with. I think I can fit one in right in the middle but I dont know anything about this type of machinery. I'd only work on cars rather than vans etc - that type of vehicle would not get through the doors..

You’d just need to add your height to the height of a car, as the car lifts higher than the actual ramp. Here is a picture of my gf’s old car at a exhaust place.

He makes custom exhausts and built the workshop himself.

I'd say a minimum of 14ft really, best way of working it out is taking the post height on the ramp and then doubling it, it all depends how tall you are though because you might not need the vehicle all the way up on the ramp
