Where Can I Get A Gates Cambelt Kit?!

Recommended Posts

james306

I am trying to get hold of a Gates Powergrip belt, one on there currently is a gates 5050xs113 x 17mm which I assume is the same as the K015050XS kit. I am looking online but I'm not finding any dealers for Gates or anywhere online to buy the kit and I'm nearing just getting the kit from GSF.

Any suggestion?

most motorfactors do them, why are you after that specifically though? nothing wrong with all the other brands out there, like Dayco, continental, INA, SKF etc.

Miles

As said, Dayco's just as good if not better and OE fitment on PSA car's, Never use Gates myself for that very reason

The suggestion to me was to get a Gates kit, and it's whats on it now so why not. The motor factors I have tried have brands I have never heard of which I fully intend to avoid.

I tend to just fit Dayco or INA kits (which use dayco belts typically) as miles said they were used on most PSA engines in the factory.

What brands have you been offered? you'll probably find most will just be a brand rather than a manufacturer, whereas INA and SKF make the bearings and dayco actually make the belts.
