As above really, just finished my XU9J4/RS hybrid engine,6 exhaust manifold and jenveys, but i have used 8v samco heater matrix hoses,

which are just far too short now and touch on the fanimold, i have one of stew`s gti6 thermostat adapters and 8v housing.

also while thinking about it the hose out the bottom of the expansion bottle, back to the plastic distribution part on the back of the mi block is also too

short, what would be better here, as soon as i sort this bits i can run it in and then get it mapped and kick its head in!!

pictures would be good

cheers

have a look in Cameron's thread, though not sure if he runs a heater :)

would imagine fitting the steel pipe, water pump takeoff and thermostat housing from from the XU10J4RS (possibly the J4R too) and the BBM gti6 heater hose would be a neat solution.

WP,

should of mentioned i dont run the heater matrix either, the pipes go into the baulkhead like normal, but are joined togerther with some 15mm copper and come back out again

If you don;t run a matrix then just blank the pipes off, Easy and less pipes to worry about

Miles,

Can i block of the one feeds from the MI`s plastic distribution block on the back of the engine, and also the one on the GTI6 thermostat housing,

without causing a problem to the water flow or expansion????????

i certianly hope so as that would save a lot of hassle!!!

cheers
