Oil Pressure Sensor

hi,

where abouts is the oil pressure sensor located on a 1.9 gti 8v engine?

A search would have revealed this, but it's on the front of the block to the side of the alternator.

 

The large mushroom shaped one is for the oil pressure gauge, and the smaller one is for the low oil pressure warning light

 

If you've having issues, I would first check the wiring - in particular the brown multiplug that's located around the top of the gearbox - as the senders themselves are normally quite reliable, but the wiring is pretty atrocious and the root could of most dash light/gauge related issues.
