Any decent motorfactors should be able to supply you one.

A quick look on Buypartsby suggests that the Arvin/Timax part numbers are as follows:

PGG30 - metal manifold-downpipe gasket @ £2.41+VAT

PGK2 - bolts/spring/nut kit @ £4.71+VAT

That's listed for both a Phase 2 1.9 GTi and for a Phase 1 405 1.9 Mi16 :)

(I could have sworn that they were only something like £11-12 inc VAT from Peugeot when I last bought one :o)

To be honest I'd get a Pug one. All the other fitting kits I've ever had have been crap. Most of them have crappy cardboard gaskets or bolts that don't fit - either the wrong length or they're so weak they snap before the springs are properly tensioned.

Just looked on Servicebox, and 179880 which is a Phase 2 205 GTi fitting kit is listed as £14.36 inc VAT

AFAIK the gasket is exactly the same between a 1.9 8v and Mi16, in which case the above part number will work fine.

Get the genuine one, the ebay stuff is crap.

Agreed.

I always go direct to pug for exhaust manifold & downpipe gaskets after using the downpipe one supplied with the gasket set I used on my previous rebuild leaked within a few days of fitting.

Had a genuine one on since, even remioved the exhaust once or twice & it still didn't blow.

The mi16 one is part number 179875 which is £17.97 +vat. Not sure why it uses a different one to the 8v.

IIRC the Mi16 kit comes with bolts for two or three different types of manifolds, I haven't bought a 205 kit for well over ten years but if they just come with one set of bolts that could explain the price difference. Although saying that trying to find logic in Peugeot parts prices might be a bit futile.

I've just bought a pug fitting kit, came with 3 different length bolts.

What bits are you after justin, if its just bolts I've got a spare set at home, not genuine but never had a problem with them
