Omex Rev Limiter Making My Rallye Misfire!

Recommended Posts

Tandoh

Right I need some help really as I'm not sure whats going on.

I bought a suposedly new Omex clubman rev limiter off someon on 106 owners for my rallye.

I have fitted it after checking that I was sure which of the coil terminals are positive and negative.

So I connected it all up, checked to make sure it was on 4 cylinder and then started up the rallye.

Now its misfiring, but the limiter seems to still kick in where it is set to.

I disconected the rev limiter, and the engine was fine again! Its really annoying me right now!

Is there a problem with the limiter? Or something I could have done?

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi there, i had the same thing when i got the wires to my modified standard rev counter mixed up. It was hard to start and when it had started was miss firing. You only have 12v supply, pulsed 12v from the ignition amp and ground wires, so it shouldn't be too difficult to work out. Unless there is a fault with the Omex?.
