Power Steering Rack Repairs

Recommended Posts

murtaghp

Hi,

I have fluid leaking out of the top of my rack, it looks to be coming from around the drive pinion.

Are there any oil seals or o-rings that can be changed in there or is the rack FUBAR.

Thanks

The rack itself isn't wet, there's a hydraulic ram that does the 'power' bit...don't know if it's replaceable or not, they're normally reliable!

If it is fubar'd the you can always take of the hydraulic gubbins and just run your existing rack as a non PAS one.

check the hydraulic line connections though, may have come loose somehow?
