Exterior Body Trim Fitting

i am in need of some rivets and clips for fitting the body trims.

 

metal clips 6992 33 x8 NFP anyone know where i can source some? found some on ebay but they are £15 for 6 plus p+p of £2 which i think is steep for clips that were 38p from pug.

rivets 8742 20 x8 NFP anyone know if i can source elsewhere of is there an alternative i could use?

Those metal clips, are they for attaching the red stripe? My 205 has a brand new stripe, but the previous owner siliconed it on!

I think Miles has started selling the metal clips. I also remember someone mentioning that you could get the rivets from another manufacturer (possibly Vauxhall). It may take some searching, but you might be able to find the relevant post on the forum.

 

The metal clips don't hold the red strips on, the hold the bottom of the trim flush against the door to stop it flapping about. You silde the rim up under the clips, and then rivets sit inside the cut-away down the middle of the trim. Next you slide some plastic clips into the cut-away on the trim, and over the rivets. This holds the tim in place. Those same plastic clips have some little grooves in the top of them which you then slide the red trim over. Difficult to explain really, and it's not until you've taken one off to see how it all goes together that it really becomes clear.

You can buy the rivets from Vauxhall for about 60p each, Part no is 90033713.

thanks lads found some posts about the rivets calibra's have then so gonna source from vauxhall.

 

just the metal and plastic clips i need now,absolute last resort is paragonpug as he is silly expensive for them.

 

got a wanted thread going hopefully someone will have some i can purchase?
